RECENT PROJECTS
WOOLWORTHS STORE FITOUT + UPGRADES

Location: North Island
-
TE Group has been consistently involved in upgrading and outfitting Woolworths stores for the last nine years. Some of the stores we have worked on include:
Highland Park
Tauranga
Pukekohe x2
Silverdale
Lincoln Road
Quay Street
St Johns
Grey Lynn
The scope of work required in each store has ranged from a simple cosmetic upgrade to a full seismic fitout and refurbishment in Woolworths larger stores. Regardless of the size of the job, TE Group approaches every project with the same care and attention to detail.
PRIVATE HOME
Client: Private
Location: Auckland
-
TE Group completed the main steel component for the new build of this private residence in Auckland. This included 70 tonnes of steel delivered in 9 phases. Due to the builder’s construction methodology, we had to adapt our processes to fit in the with the timeline. This often-meant fabricating items out of phase to ensure follow-on trades were not impacted by changing programme requirements. The finished build will be a standout home in Auckland.
FOODSTUFFS SEISMIC UPGRADES
Client: Various
Location: North Island
-
To date, TE Group has undertaken over 15 projects for various lead contractors as part of Foodstuffs nationwide seismic store upgrade. Some of these include:
New World Whitianga
New World Orewa
Pak n Save Silverdale
Gilmours Manukau
Pak n Save Rotorua
Four Square Otaika
New World Ngaruawahia
New World West End
These jobs are often complicated by factors such as working in a live store environment, which means ensuring the store can continue to operate with as little disruption to their usual workflow as possible. To achieve this, TE Group developed a process to ensure a seamless project flow from award, to shop drawings and site measure to mobilising to site. Clear communication with lead contractors and a close working relationship is critical to project success and a hallmark of the operating methodology of TE Group’s project leadership.
VOS BOAT SHED
Client: Legacy Construction
Location: Wynyard Quarter, Auckland
-
This project included a complete rebuild of an historic boatshed. Specific materials such as historic timbers, were to be incorporated into the new building. This meant site measures and shop drawings were required to accurately capture the challenging details and show the care taken when fixing new steel to older timber components.
Z LAKEWOOD COURT
Client: Future Energy Solutions
Location: Auckland
-
TE Group was engaged to complete the fabrication and installation of the Lakewood Court Z Station in Manukau. Working with the main contractor, TE Group fabricated a template for the cast in bolts that was robust enough to ensure that there was no movement during the pouring of the foundations. Due to the required methodology, being a double crane lift, our fabrication and erection of the canopy needed to be spot on to ensure all four columns aligned when suspended from 2 x 150 tonne cranes 6 metres in the air.
By applying thorough project management and detailed QA checks, the lift and final installation went off without an issue. One of the crane drivers observed it was one of the smoothest canopy installations he had been involved in – always great to receive that kind of praise from the heavy machinery lads!
TOKIKAPU MARAE
Client: Livingstone Building NZ
Location: Te Kuiti
-
The fabrication and installation of the structural steel for a new wharekai for Tokikapu Marae in Te Kuiti was delivered by TE Group. As this was a new build, all drawings were produced from Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings and no site measures were undertaken. The site was only accessible from one end of the poured slab, and due to loading limitations, we utilised a 2-tonne crane off the slab to install all steel works. A seamless site installation resulted in the project being completed well in advance of the scheduled timeframe.
If you’ve got a project in mind, we’d love to hear from you.
Please get in touch and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
